We are wrapping up our two week family vacation, otherwise known as Sam's paternity leave. Obviously having a baby was no vacation for me but it has been so nice to have Sam home to help out. As I have felt better and more rested we have ventured out more as a family and had a lot of fun. Here are some of the highlights of our "staycation" (apparently a new term for local vacations).

Our first walk around the block with Caroline in the baby wrap. She slept through the entire walk.
We took lots of naps. Caroline enjoyed her first nap in her crib and many naps on mommy.
Ben came to play with Katherine when his parents brought us dinner. Katherine and Ben always enjoy playing the piano. This was a few moments before Ben closed the cover on Katherine's fingers. She was not too happy about it.
Friday we went to the science museum and spent a lot of time in the kids area. Katherine had a lot of fun. Caroline slept the entire time in the baby wrap.
We went to Ava's Backyardigan's birthday party. Katherine climbed the water slide but came back down the steps and spent the rest of the time in the kiddy pool.
Of course we went to visit Nana at her house. Again, Caroline slept the entire time.
At Nana's house Katherine played with some of my old toys. I thought this picture was really cool with Katherine sitting in the bright spot from the skylight.
We went to visit the cousins. Katherine and Emily enjoyed watching TV.
Laurie Jane turned 1 and we went to her pool party. Katherine is becoming quite a fish in the water. Caroline slept in Laurie Jane's crib for most of the party.
