Katherine is so lucky to have so many friends her age. I guess it is a function of having a social mommy who happened to have a lot of friends who had kids at the same time.
Katherine's two best friends are Ben and Robert. They three of them play together at playgroup and we get together with each of them as well. They are all three in the same class at church too.
One thing I love about Madi is that we are spontaneous friends. We live close together and there are many times that one of us will call the other to say that their husband is working late and we just invite ourself over for dinner. The other day she called because Andy had to work late. We were headed to the park so they came along. You can see how much Ben and Katherine enjoy one another as they hold hands on our walk. 
I have known Janna for probably 10 years but we have really become close friends over the last two years as we have gotten together for playgroup often. Today after MDO Janna and Robert (and sister Laurie Jane) joined us at the mall for a little shopping, a snack and playing in the kids area. The kids loved their smoothies.
Katherine showed more bravery than usual as she went down the slide backwards, face first and any other way that she could think up.

What kind of place has a hot-dog bun for a slide?
That actually is a hollow log. Today though we went to another mall where all of the play equipment is food on a table. The mall play areas are quite creative.
