Visit to Grammy's House

At the end of the summer we took one last weekend trip. This one was to Grammy and Grandad's house. We went to a nice park and fed the ducks and walked around.

We love it when Grammy and Grandad come for a visit. And they love to come visit the arboretum with us. It was a beautiful day!

Thanksgiving

We went to visit Sam's family for Thanksgiving. It was full of a lot of fun cousin time. Katherine and Hannah are 6 months apart with Emily being 5 years older and Caroline 2 years younger but somehow they all still play well together. A favorite is always playing dress up.
We tried to get a cousin picture and it was tough. They were not all in the mood but the girls were pretty cooperative.

On Friday only our family was there so Grammy and Katherine had some special time and made a gingerbread train.
Caroline loved being buried under everyone's stuff.

Trip to Grammy's House

We had not been to Grammy's house since Christmas so we went over the weekend. On Saturday Katherine, Grammy and I went to a local production of Geppetto and Son which was a story about Pinocchio and his dad. It was really cute. Katherine loved it.

After the play we got autographs from some of the cast members. There were about 20 kids and teens in the show so we started with them.

The rest of the weekend was just spent around the house, relaxing, eating, and playing with Grammy and Grandad.

A visit with Grammy and Grandad

Last weekend Sam was going to visit a friend so I took the girls to visit his parents. Usually when we are with them all of the cousins are there so there is not much individual time with the grandparents. It was so much fun to have them all to ourselves for the whole weekend. I really enjoyed seeing the girls enjoy their grandparents.

When we arrived Grammy gave the girls a late Easter present. Katherine received a set of princess dishes that she used the rest of the weekend. Caroline received a really cute outfit.

We had a lot of fun just hanging out at the house. Caroline seemed to really improve her crawling and pulling up skills. Katherine brought 5 different princess outfits with her and she was always wearing one. She enjoyed grandad's microphone and video toy.

Saturday we went to a local park and nature center. We were able to hold a millipede and look at a lot of other creatures.

They have a butterfly house. the entire park is set up only with plants and animals that are native to the area. There were quail walking around and several varieties of butterfly. The guide helped Katherine to hold a Monarch.

We had a picnic and then walked around the pond. We tried feeding the ducks but they were not interested at all in our bread.

Cousins!

At the last minute we had a family get together with most of Sam's family. Grammy and Grandad had Ty and Nathan at their house for a few days and were bringing them back. I happened to have a Dr. appointment in that part of town so we all got together for lunch and some cousin time.

Last weekend Sam's parents, Grammy and Grandad came for a visit to meet Caroline and to see Katherine. We had a great time.

Sunday we went to eat at El Fenix. Katherine's first restaurant was this same El Fenix so it is a family tradition.

Grammy makes quilts for all of the grand kids. Caroline is laying on her quilt. Grammy hand stitched it.
