Santa's Village

We have enjoyed going to Santa's Village in a neighboring suburb the past 2 years. There are about 15 houses with activities for the kids in each one. The girls had a lot of fun running around to the houses with friends.

Dentist

Caroline and Katherine had a dentist appointment. It was Caroline's first real appointment with a cleaning. She was very excited until we got there and then she hit behind me. The hygienist is amazing and within a minute Caroline was doing everything she asked.

Santa #2

We went back to see Santa a second time with our good friends Emma and Julia. These girls are some of my girls best friends so it was a lot of fun.

Even though we already had good pictures with Santa it is always nice to have more!

Santa Visit

Well, we checked the visit to Santa off the list early this year. Our Santa is very popular and they have a ticket system which I love. I get to snag a ticket, go see a movie, eat lunch, shop, see the trains, whatever I want to do. When I get back to the Santa Line I only wait 10-15 minutes. Without the ticket it would be hours.

Ice Skating

Katherine has been wanting to try Ice Skating for awhile. There was a day the week of Thanksgiving where Caroline had preschool but Katherine did not have school. So, it was the perfect day to try it. Nana was going to come watch and bring us a coupon and when we got there, she said she was going to skate too. What a special treat. I must admit I was a bit surprised. Luckily we all had fun and no one got hurt. It has been at least 10-15 years since I can remember ice skating.

Girl Scout Daisies

This year Katherine is in the Girls Scout Daisy troop at her school. It is a fun activity that I get to do with her so we are both making new friends. We meet once a month for our regular meeting and once a month for an activity. In October we went to the Arboretum on a day we did not have school. It was a fun outing.

In November we went to a local food pantry to learn how they work and to donate food. We toured where all the food was kept.
We made Christmas cards to give to the people served by the food pantry.




We had our usual circle time where we read a story and learn about character qualities.
