Disney on Ice

We went with Katherine's Girl Scout Daisy Troop to the Disney on Ice. There were sections from "Princess and the Frog", "Cinderella" and "Tangled". Of course the Tangled part was our favorite. It was really pretty amazing with flying acrobatics along with the skating. 

Bluebonnets

Taking pictures in the bluebonnets is a Texas tradition each spring. Some years I can't get a single good one but this year I had some cooperative girls. My beautiful girls in the bluebonnets...

Arboretum with Nana and Pops

We love to take Nana and Pops with us to the Arboretum. Dallas Blooms is a great time to visit when the tulips are blooming. 

 There was a school group visiting and they had the assignment of drawing in the artists houses. Several of the students decided that Katherine and Caroline were to be the subjects of their drawings. It was pretty cute how still my girls were as they modeled.

Before School Fun

I loved having 2 mornings a week with Katherine. A favorite thing for us to do was to go to the Arboretum. We loved to walk around and look at the flowers, play in the houses and just have fun talking.  

Katherine loved to take pictures and half of the time she would be dancing.

One week we were able to meet one of Katherine's best friends Ben before school when he had the day off. Now that they are in kindergarten at different schools they rarely get to spend time together so it was a fun day.

TCA Princess Campout

Our school has their own version of the YMCA Adventure Princess program that is great. Twice a year all of the fathers and daughters go on a "camping" trip which was really more of a retreat in cabins. It really looks like a fun weekend and I am a bit jealous that I don't get to go! They go fishing, canoeing, horse back riding and more. Katherine's best friend Emma and her dad go and apparently the two are joined at the hip all weekend. I love that Sam and Katherine get to do this and know that Caroline can't wait until she is old enough to be a TCA Princess too!
