Few Favorites Friday - October 28th

My friend Heather has been posting a weekly post called "Few Favorites Friday" for awhile now on her blog. I keep thinking it is a great way to hit the highlights and some of the ordinary things as well so I am going to start that weekly post as well. Enjoy.

1.Sweet Sisters - Katherine and Caroline get along really well much of the time. It is so fun to have a best friend and playmate with you most of the time.
2. Sweet Grandparents - We are lucky that one set of grandparents lives in the same time city as we do and we get to see them often. Nana and Pops joined us this week at our church's fall fest.
3. Sweet Babysitters - Bekah and Roy have been babysitting for our community group for almost 2 years and they babysit for our family sometimes as well. They are such a sweet couple and we will be so sad when they graduate from seminary and move on at the end of this year.
4. Sweet friends - both girls are blessed with some really sweet friends. Caroline's best friend is Elizabeth. They are one month apart and see each other 1-2 times a week. They are around each other enough that they play well and they also fight well!
Katherine's best friend is Emma. Her parents are in our community group so they spend every Sunday night together. Emma and Katherine are also at the same school so they are in the same girl scout and princess (father daughter) group. They also play and fight well!
5. Sweet Cousins - Tonight we get to have our cousin Hannah spend the night. She is 6 months younger than Katherine. They are having a wonderful time. We are lucky to have cousins so close in age. I sure wish they lived even closer than 45 minutes.
6. Sweet Nature Studies - We have been fortunate for the past year to be a part of a Charlotte Mason preschool/home school group as an extra enrichment activity. Today we went to a new Audubon nature center where we saw all kinds of evidence of animals.
My girls love to study nature and to see all the amazing things that God created. My favorite thing from today was the dung beetle doing its job with the raccoon dung that is full of seeds and nuts. Ick but cool!

Pumpkin Patch

I was able to go to the Arboretum Pumpkin Patch with only Katherine. That works a lot better for actually getting some good pictures! She can pose and ham it up for the camera if she wants to.
