Last days in CA

We had a great time at Mount Hermon Family Camp. We heard great teachers every day. While the grown ups were hearing DTS professors, the kids were in day camp. On the last day Katherine's class came in to sing and say their Bible verse. Of course she just stood there but she was cute.
A friend from high school, Amy, was also at camp with her family. It was fun to reconnect.

There were beautiful flowers and all week I intended to use them as a backdrop for a photo but by this time a certain 2 year old did not want to cooperate so I only got pictures of Katherine.
We dropped my parents off at the airport and had a few hours to kill in San Jose before our flight (first class by the way with miles). We went to a children's museum and had a lot of fun.

A day at the beach

We wanted to go back to the beach to get some cute photos of the kids. Once again Caroline fell asleep in the van after refusing to nap earlier in the hotel room. So, Katherine and I explored for awhile with just the 2 of us.

She loved climbing on the rocks and watching the kids surfing.

The beach was actually really crowded because of a junior lifeguard camp going on so we loaded up to find a different beach. Caroline finally woke up.

Here is the winning shot taken by a 12 year old boy. I love the lighthouse in the background.

17 mile drive

After our trip to the Monterrey Aquarium we drove down 17 mile drive along Pebble Beach. We saw beautiful sand and rock beaches, mansions and golf courses.
We got out to play in the waves. Katherine thought it was fun to get close and then run away from the waves.

We also wrote her name in the sand.
Of course once again Caroline fell asleep in the car and missed all the fun.

Katherine loved the adventure of climbing on the rocks.
It is hard to tell but that rock is covered with seals.

Picking wild berries

While at family camp we tried to balance family time with time hearing the speakers and having the kids at camp. One morning we skipped a session and went on a walk and found some wild blackberries. We enjoyed picking and eating them.
